Photographs With Adjustments

After taking my photographs I used a range of different skills to manipulate my photographs in different ways, altering colour, brightness/contrast, dodge and burn tools etc. These different alterations can enhance the photographs in terms of quality or change the effects the photographs can have, such as creating a moody effect by making the photograph darker or provide the opposite effect by enhancing the colour contrast and brightness.

Here are some examples of photograph manipulation in Photoshop, with the effects applied underneath each photograph

Photograph after Auto Colour

Photograph after brightness and contrast adjustments

Photograph after unsharpen mask filter

Photograph after use of dodge and burn tools, the biggest difference can be seen in the trees and on Owen's face where the brightness has been toned down.

Using the opacity controls I was able to blur one image into another, you can faintly see another photograph of Owen in the centre of the image.

Using the colour curves I changed the main tone of colour in the image from green to a pink, which makes the image look as though it was taken at a different time of the day or even season of the year and gives the image a warm look
